Competitive Edge HR was founded by Cheryl Basinger in January of 2002 to provide human resource and organizational development consulting that improves clients’ results. She has a 25-year track record of success in diverse assignments in human resources, sales and marketing.
Cheryl formed Competitive Edge HR to help organizations improve results by aligning their Human Resource systems and processes with strategic goals. This includes selecting the right employees; communicating goals, expectations, policies, and changes to maximize results; training to change behaviors; and establishing compensation systems that reward performance.
Before forming Competitive Edge HR, Cheryl was vice president of sales and marketing for Read Right Systems, Inc. She worked with Franklin Covey for ten years, rising to regional vice president of sales. She began her career as a Management Trainee with a $1 billion regional cooperative before being promoted to Manager of Employment and Development.
Cheryl uses her background in line and human resource positions to link organizational development with strategic initiatives. She is known for her consultative approach, pragmatic solutions, dynamic training style and ability to listen and facilitate.
